Upper Macungie Supervisors Board to Re-organize Tonight

Upper Macungie supervisors meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the municipal building.

 

The Upper Macungie Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 tonight and re-organize.

Supervisors usually meet the first Thursday of the month, but this month's meeting was moved from Jan. 3 to Jan. 7.

State law dictates that when a municipality must reorganize, the first Monday of the year is mandatory unless it falls on a holiday.

Currently, Ed Earley is chairman of the board of supervisors, Sam Ashmar is vice chairman and Kathy Rader is secretary.

-- Update on the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Commission. The regional force has now disbanded.
