State Roads Close Due to Storms

PennDOT advises motorists that some Upper Macungie state roads are still closed due to flooding.

Flooding, downed trees and power lines caused by Hurricane Irene last week and rain storms this week have forced many state roads closed.

Here is the latest list of road closings in Upper Macungie and elsewhere in Lehigh County from PennDOT.

  • Cetronia Road between Trexlertown and Grange roads in Upper Macungie Township due to flooding;
  • Pirma/Whitehall  Avenue between Mauch Chunk Road and Walbert Avenue in South Whitehall Township due to a roadway washout;
  • Fairview Road between Emmaus Avenue and Susquehanna Street in Salisbury Township due to damage to a box culvert (Hurricane Irene).
