Weis Gas-N-Go Entrance Should Be Moved, Planners Say

The Upper Macungie Planning Commission wants to examine plans for the proposed Gas-N-Go fuel station.

The Upper Macungie Planning Commission declined to give approval Wednesday night to a proposed Weis Gas-N-Go fuel station at 7801 Glenlivet Drive in Fogelsvile.

According to a report in The Morning Call, planners want changes to the eight-pump station before giving approval. Those changes include moving the entrance to accommodate traffic flow during busy periods.

Once planners give their approval, the plans move on to the Board of Supervisors for its OK. Now, that may not happen until July.

Weis Markets took the first step in its quest to build the fuel station in March at the Fogelsville location when it received a use variance from the Upper Macungie Zoning Hearing Board.

The prospect of additional retail stores at the Fogelsville Weis shopping center at Route 100 and Glenlivet Drive West took a step forward recently when Upper Macungie Supervisors approved a preliminary lot consolidation plan.
