Taxpayers in Upper Macungie will pay the same township property rate in 2014 as they did in 2013.

That's according to the township's budget for next year, which is due to be presented at next Thursday's supervisors meeting.

Supervisor Kathy Rader said the $14.1 million budget keeps the Upper Macungie tax rate at .64 mills, which means the owner of a property assessed at $100,000 would pay a $64 property tax.

Last year's budget also kept the tax rate the same, but included an increase in sewer fees.
