@Jenn- I'm not sure why my opinion should cause you such consternation. The whole point of having a comment section on an open forum like this is so that people can share and discuss their opinions with one another. I didn't realize I was expected to agree with others in that effort to share my opinion.

Wow. The NRA has NO CLUE.
They manage to top themselves day after day. Today, on the one month anniversary of the Sandy Hook MURDERS committed with high-powered stolen guns, the NRA has released a FREE APP - A VIOLENT VIDEO GAME, where you can SHOOT at an upright coffin in the "head," the "heart," etc. They've rated it for ages 4 and up... Have they NO CLUE? Have they NO IDEA what they're doing to the families of those victims? Have they no eyes and ears as to what MOST AMERICANS are saying and wanting in the way of gun control? Stupid, heartless, shameful, delusional, paranoid, treasonous cowards..

It isn't that you don't agree...it's your arrogance. You always sound like you are talking down to people who don't agree with you and you twist other people's words around. I have seen your posts over the past few months. You always act like you are on the moral high ground. You always act like you need to educate anyone who doesn't agree with you.

@Jenn- so, I should dumb it down a little then so that others don't feel like I'm picking on them? I'm assuming that you have the same critique for others like Ronnie and Joe then, right? I mean, Ronnie has called me a coward in the past, Joe has called me a liberal loser and Crestor has thrown so many insults my way that it's hard to think of just one. All because I have a different opinion. Somehow, staying on topic and not bowing to that hostility makes me arrogant. Interesting logic. Still, I pride myself on being a gentleman. You're criticism is duly noted. I'll see what I can do to reign in my tone.

@Jenn- there was a sliver of humor in that comment. Honestly, I don't see the equity in your expectations. It's ok to call people names, and denigrate them, but arguing one's point otherwise is arrogant. I'm not trying to be an ass, but that just sounds backwards to me. Just take this thread as an example. My initial comment was about how I didn't think it was cool to be saying that the woman in the article should have killed her intruder so he wouldnt sue. Ronnie and Joe took it upon themselves to tell me that I didn't know what I was talking about and the conversation went on from there with them fixated on trying to convince me why legally killing someone was an ok thing and that I was a know-nothing bleeding heart liberal. I replied by trying to discuss why not killing someone was a better outcome. They insisted I was defending the intruder and that I wanted to ban guns and repeal the 2nd amendment and that I was simply wrong. Would you still think me arrogant if we were on the same side of the argument?

Wow you are right we really need to curb the violence against paper targets. You see that game is at something called a shooting range. This is a place where people can safely take their guns to shoot at pieces of paper. STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST PAPER!!!!

Amend, you remind me of my 20 year old college student son. He is always trying to prove how intelligent he is and why his parents are completely wrong. I am sorry, that is just my opinion. You are always on the moral high ground in your mind. Anyone who doesn't agree with you just isn't smart enough to get it! As I stated, I have formed this opinion over the past few months. You post a lot of opinions on many different stories. Just as above, you also always feel the need to explain your correctness with long winded responses. Don't fret, I am sure there are plenty of people who enjoy your posts.

After all of the hoopla about addressing gun violence, they are leaking out parts of the new + improved laws and programs . For the most part, they are talking about better enforcement of what is already on the books with stiffer penalties for some violations. It is possible that there will be some limitations on magazine (clip) capacities. Almost sounds like the NRA + Obama got together on this one. More talk +politicking than substance. This is not the big change that many were hoping for. It is a complex problem and there is no "silver bullet". In the meantime, be a safe gun owner and a safe homeowner.

A home invasion in Bucks County took the life of a man who lives there...The intruders also took firearms from the house...This should be a lesson to gun owners to be on constant alert in situations such as this, otherwise, guns for protection would be a farce.

Yeah unfortunately that happens. However 9 out of 10 times it is the invader that is on the receiving end of the bullet.... Home invasions are on the rise it's like every other day that's happening.... LOCK & LOAD!!!!

And then, one day after the five people are shot at gun shows during the so-called "gun appreciation day"... Reuters reports that- A teenage boy with several weapons including an assault rifle shot and killed five people, three of them children, at a house in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
ENOUGH DEATH... I CANNOT WAIT FOR ALL OF THE PRESIDENT'S CHANGES IN GUN LAWS. BRING IT.

This gun-owner seems to think THIS is how one should use an assault weapon... among the other weapons found in his home. Change the law, Charlie Dent. Change it. How much more evidence do you need????

Ironically, the rights you mention in this man's quote are connected, not separate. Had the teachers or administrators been able to exercise ther 2nd Amendment rights at work, this man's son may still be alive enjoying his right to life. BTW, are you Pro-Abortion too?

the "father of a 6 yr old boy that was murdered" is emotionally damaged (and rightfully so). He is in no position to give thoughtful input that will affect millions of us for many years to come. We need to be guided by knowledgeable people that are not affected by bad emotions in order to decide how to fix this problem properly and not make it worse because of a hasty, thoughtless reactionary plan. " Enough said"??
