Township supervisors are expected to discuss the fee structure at Thursday’s meeting.

Township Supervisor Kathy Rader who sits on the Recreation Board, favored allowing those renting the rooms to bring their own alcohol if they sign a liability waiver and get a rider on their homeowners insurance to cover any problems resulting from alcohol use that day. “That would take the township off the liability hook,” she said.

She expects the township supervisors to discuss rules on alcohol use. Also still to be decided is what kind of discount to give nonprofits for room rentals.

The top floor of the newly-renovated building has a kitchen where people can refrigerate cold things and heat up food in crockpots. The Community Room which has a stone fireplace, windows on three sides and a deck. The center is surrounded by a 9-hold golf course on 25-acres. Residents can play on the course free of charge.

Rader said she’s already getting calls from neighbors who want to rent it.  The park is at 150 Independent Road in Breinigsville. Directions: From the township building, go west on Schantz Road and make a right on Route 863; the park is on the left.
