Woman, 88, Dies from Fall at Upper Macungie Home

An 88-year-old woman died Monday as a result of injuries from a fall in Upper Macungie

The Lehigh County Coroner says Marguerite Cratty, 88, of 90 North Broadway, North Versailles, Pa., died Monday at 434 Arrowhead Lane in Upper Macungie Township.

She died from injuries sustained in a fall that occured Nov. 24, 2012 at the Upper Macungie residence. Her death has been ruled an accident.

Falls are the leading cause of death from injuries for the elderly, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Falls can cause broken bones and even brain trauma.
