Upper Macungie Motorcycle Officer Injured in Crash

Upper Macungie Police say Officer William Rohrbach sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an early afternoon motorcycle accident on Industrial Blvd.

Upper Macungie Police said motorcycle officer William Rohrbach was injured in a Tuesday afternoon traffic accident on Industrial Boulevard.

Police said the accident happened at approximately 1 p.m. in the 7300 block of Industrial Boulevard. 

Police said Rohrbach was responding to assist another officer on a call with his lights and siren on when he swerved to avoid hitting a truck coming out of private driveway.

Rohrbach's motorcycle hit the ground, causing what police described as minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not give details on Rohrbach's injuries.

He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by Cetronia Ambulance. 

Police did not say if any citations were given to the truck driver, whom they did not identify.
