Upper Mac In Talks With Cetronia Ambulance Corps To Keep A Unit Within Township At All Times

Fire Commissioner says current agreement works well.

Upper Macungie contract with Cetronia Ambulance Corps to provide an EMS/ambulance unit within the township's borders on a constant basis expires at the end of April.

However, Fire Commissioner Grant Grim said both sides are working to come up with plan keeping a Cetronia unit in the township 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

"We've had (Cetronia) unit in since May of 2008 and it's worked out well," he said. "We want to have that unit, so we're covered if we have three incidents in the township within five minutes.
