Truck Accident Closes Schantz Road for 7 Hours

No one was injured in a truck accident early Saturday on Schantz Road in Upper Macunige, police said.

A truck accident early Saturday closed Schantz Road for seven hours, Upper Macungie police said.

No one was injured in the one-vehicle crash, which was east of Grim Road.

According to police, Genaro Delacruz, 37, of Worcester, MA, was eastbound on Schantz Road at 2:48 a.m. when a car in front of him began to slow. As he veered to the right, his commercial truck went down a small embankment, rolled on its passenger side and came to rest against a utility pole.
