Trio Nabbed For DUI In Separate Upper Macungie Incidents
Two Allentown men and a Reading woman charged following traffic violation stops.
arrested three individuals last week for driving under the influence of alcohol in three separate incidents.
-- Police said Ana Salas-Alvarez, 27, of Reading was stopped by officers for a traffic violation at 2:40 a.m. on March 21 at the intersection of Schantz Road and Hamilton Blvd. in Upper Macungie Township. Salas-Alvarez showed signs of impairment, police said, and was subsequently charged with a DUI offense. She was taken to the Lehigh County Processing Center where she was charged and released on her own recognizance. She will appear before at a later date.
-- Police said Ajay Singh, 36, of Allentown was stopped by officers for a traffic violation at 3:25 a.m. on March 21 at the intersection of Ruppsville Road and Tilghman Street in Upper Macungie Township. Singh showed signs of impairment, police said, and was subsequently charged with a DUI offense. He was taken to the Lehigh County Processing Center where he was charged and released on his own recognizance. He will appear before at a later date.

-- Police said Edwin Rodriguez Jr., 19, of Allentown was stopped by officers for a traffic violation at 3 p.m. on March 22 on Route 100 near Industrial Drive in Upper Macungie Township. Rodriguez showed signs of impairment, police said, and was subsequently charged with a DUI offense and underage drinking. He was taken to the Lehigh County Processing Center where he was charged and released on his own recognizance. He will appear before at a later date.
