Thieves, Vandals Target Township Motels

Police say someone smashed windows on two guest vehicles at Best Western, Holiday Inn.

Upper Macungie police say car windows were smashed at two different township motels in two separate incidents this week.

The first happened Monday morning, when someone smashed the windows on two vehicles to steal from guests at the Best Western motel Monday morning.

According to police, the thefts happened sometime between midnight and 7:30 a.m. at the motel on Tilghman Street, with someone stealing suitcases from one vehicle and numerous gifts from another. 

The second incident happened at the Holiday Inn on Adrienne Drive, where someone smashed the windows on four vehicles at the Holiday Inn on Adrienne Drive.

The break-ins happened sometime between Monday at 10 p.m. and Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. Police say some items inside the vehicles had been moved around, but nothing was taken.
