State Police Nab Aggressive Drivers In Upper Mac

Aerial Reconnaissance and Enforcement methods yield 14 citations.

State police at Fogelsville cracked down on motorists along Interstate 78 Monday, issuing 14 citiations for speed and for driving while under suspension for DUI  utilizing fixed-wing aircraft to observe and clock the speed of vehicles.

Police said the use of Aerial Reconnaissance and Enforcement (SPARE) found the highest speed cited for driving at 92 miles per hours along the tagged stretch in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said they will continue periodic use of this method to target aggressive drivers and reduce accidents.
