State Police: Charges Pending Against Fogelsville Pair

State police at Fogelsville say drug charges are pending against an 18-year-old Fogelsville man following an April 29 motor vehicle accident in Weisenberg Township.
 
State police said Andrew William Wewer, 18, of Fogelsville swerved to avoid hitting a deer at 3:35 p.m. April 29 and struck an embankment at Valley Road near Masters Hills Road in Weisenberg Township. Police on the scene said a witness observed Wewer placing a plastic bag taken out of the vehicle into a nearby wooded area. Police recovered the bag which contained suspected marijuana and subsequently found a second bag with marijuana inside the vehicle.
 
-- State police said charges of driving while intoxicated are pending against Michelle Diane Redmond, 42, of Fogelsville following an April 27 motor vehicle accident on Interstate 78 eastbound via Route 100 south in Upper Macungie Township. Police say Redmond's 1990 Subaru Legacy sideswiped a tractor-trailer. Police said Redmond was arrested and consented to a blood sample for chemical analysis. Police said charges of DUI, following too closely and careless driving are pending upon test results.
