Prisoner Escapes Custody in Nazareth

The man, accused of robbery, should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

A prisoner accused of robbery escaped custody in Nazareth on Monday morning, and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to multiple reports.

Daniel Preziosi, 24, escaped custody Monday morning following a preliminary hearing at District Judge John Capobianco's office at 136 S. Main St., WFMZ reported. Preziosi is accused of robbing a Northampton County grocery store, WFMZ said.

Police said Preziosi is believed to be traveling in a 1993 Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania plate JHN1842. The car has significant front-end damage, police said.

Preziosi ditched his orange jumpsuit, police said, and was last wearing a thermal shirt and pants.

Police said Preziosi is believed to be in possession of a shotgun, and should be considered armed and dangerous. Residents were warned not to approach him, but to call police with any information.
