Postal Vehicle Involved in Two-Car Crash, Police Say

Police say no serious injuries reported in two-vehicle crash at Route 863 and Schantz Road.

Upper Macungie police say two people escaped serious injury Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash involving a postal truck.

According to police, the accident happened around 3:25 p.m. at Schantz Road and Route 863. 

Police say Anthony Choida, 59, of Nazareth, was traveling south on Route 863 in his postal vehicle when he collided with Linda Bieber, 60, of Macungie, who had been heading east on Schantz Road.

Choida was unhurt, police said. Bieber complained of chest pains, but refused EMS treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
