Police Cite Businesses For Multiple False Alarms

Upper Macungie police say five local businesses exceeded the state limit for false alarms.

Upper Macungie police have cited five township businesses for having too many false alarms in the past year.

According to police, the businesses were:

  • National Freight, 910 Nestle Way
  • Fisher Clinical Services, 700 Nestle Way
  • Phoenix Hotform Company, 7550 Walker Way
  • Parkland Learning Center, 7462 Penn Drive
  • Bank of America, 7220 Main St.
Police say each company had four or more false alarms in the last 12 months.

Under state law, anyone with an automatic alarm that alerts police is allowed three false alarms a year. More than that and they've committed a summary offense, and are subject to a $300 fine.
