PennDOT Work Will Slow Eastbound Traffic On I-78 In Upper Mac Today

Oil spill cleanup slated this morning between exits 45 and 49.

Eastbound traffic on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township will likely be affected this morning as PennDOT crews work on an oil spill cleanup between exit 45 (Route 863) and exit 49 (Route 100).

PennDOT said in a release that the work is slated for the eastbound shoulder between the two exits at mile marker 48.8, between 9 a.m. and noon.

PennDOT urged motorists to utilize caution when traveling through this work zone.
