UPDATE 2:35 p.m.: State Police at Fogelsville said that the closure of I-78 eastbound due to this morning's accident will be extended until midnight in order to facilitate road milling.
UPDATE: 10:47 a.m.: State Police at Fogelsville said the driver of the truck, Forest Seaton, 46, of York, Pa. was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with unknown injuries.
Police say the accident occurred when the truck merged onto I-78 eastbound from Route 100 northbound and struck the center concrete median before turning over on its left side, spilling the oil.

UPDATE: 10:25 a.m.:PennDOT reports eastbound lanes of I-78 remain closed. Westbound lanes of I-78 are now open.
7:15 a.m.: An overturned fuel tanker carrying used motor oil shut down Interstate 78 eastbound early this morning, according to this Morning Call report.

The report stated the truck, carrying about 7,000 gallons of used motor oil, overturned near exit 49, which is the Route 100 Trexlertown/Fogelsville exit.
The report said the highway will be closed for several hours due to the cleanup.
The report said the accident happened at about 5:30 a.m.
