Orefield Man Hurt in Tilghman Street Crash, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police said Nickolas Sosik III, 41, of Orefield sustained multiple injuries in a head-on collision on Tilghman Street.

A 41-year-old Orefield man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-car accident on Tilghman Street east of Ruppsville Road, according to Upper Macungie Police.

Police said a 2003 Ford Explorer driver by John Ianelli, 51, of Allentown was traveling east on Tilghman Street and attempted to make a left turn into a restaurant parking lot at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Ianelli's car hit a 2003 Acura TL head-on. The Acura was driven by Nickolas Sosik III, 41, of Orefield, police said. 

Police said Sosik sustained moderate head, neck, hand and shoulder injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by Cetronia Ambulance. Ianelli was not injured.

Police said both cars sustained front-end damage and were towed by Faust Towing.
