A Bethlehem man has been charged with having sexual intercourse with an animal and cruelty to animals after he allegedly raped a dog in Allentown on Friday, according to court records.
Police say Juan Sanabria-Hernandez, 26, sexually assault a Shih-Tzu at the home of the dog's owner, Angela Rivera, who later noticed that the dog was hurt and acting unusual, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report.
Sanabria-Hernandez is free on bail awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 29.
The case may sound appalling but it's not unheard of:
- A Georgia teen was charged with bestiality after allegedly raping two of his neighbor's pitbulls earlier this year.
- A Milwaukee man was charged with raping a neighbor's dog in March.
“Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must be put to death.
