Nixle is a 'Must-Have' for Upper Macungie Residents

Upper Macungie Police utilize the Nixle service to inform residents about crime and other community information throughout the township.

Upper Macungie Police continue to use Nixle alerts as an effective tool that informs community residents of police activity or information that requires quick dissemination.

For example, a Nixle alert was broadcast last week about a rash of thefts from cars that has continued to occur throughout the township.

Upper Macungie Police, through the Nixle system, can put out alerts, advisories, community information and traffic information. Residents, once signed up for free service, receive notification via text message on their cell phones or via e-mail.
