New Police Station to be Dedicated Tuesday

The public is invited as Upper Macungie dedicates its new police station on Grim Road.

Five months after its opening, Upper Macungie's new police station at 37 Grim Road, Breinigsville, will be formally dedicated.

The public is invited.

The dedication is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday.

There will be a tour of the facility. Refreshments also will be served.

Upper Macungie's new police station opened in August with new chief Edgardo Colon, Lt. Joe Wilson and Lt. Mike Sitoski being sworn into duty, as the transition from the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police force got under way.

The township's new police department, with its 28 officers, went into service New Year's Eve.
