Multiple Car Break-ins Reported in Breinigsville

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police report that seven cars were broken into last night with thieves making away with jewelery and GPS devices.

UPDATE: March 10, 6:06 p.m.: Additional thefts from vehicles have been reported in Autumn Park, as well as in the Whitfield Estates Crime Watch zone (Windmill and Silo Hill).

UPDATE: March 9, 4:43 p.m.: Berks-Lehigh Regional Police now report a total of nine thefts from vehicles in the Coldwater Crossings Crime Watch, near the velodrome. The crimes occurred on Thursday.

Multiple reported thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported in the Highgate Crime Watch area, just off Route 100, across from the .

These thefts included four from King Way and one from Kingston Way, according to . Jewelry, Bluetooth devices, a GPS device, sunglasses, a wallet, and an iPod were reported taken.

Police said they believe the thefts occurred between midnight and 3:30 am
on Thursday morning.

This morning, BLRPD has also investigated two additional thefts from vehicles on Pathfinder Rd. and Colebrook Rd., the Coldwater Crossing Crime Watch area.

These thefts are believed to have occurred last night, police said.

There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report, so it is believed that these vehicles were also unlocked. Three GPS systems were taken along with a CD player.

In a press release, Investigator Peter Nickischer said, “It is not uncommon to see an increase in these types of crimes when the weather gets warmer. Please always lock your vehicles, especially overnight. BLRPD nightshift supervisors are aware of these thefts and will adjust neighborhood sweeps accordingly.”
