Man Loses Arm in Warehouse Accident

Police were called to Bazzini Holdings, 1035 Mill Road, this morning on a report of an industrial accident with the possible loss of a limb.

Reports indicate a 46-year-old Allentown man lost his arm in an industrial accident this morning at a snack company that just moved to Upper Macungie last spring.

The worker at the A.L. Bazzini warehouse apprently had his arm amputated by a machine and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

, in a statement, said the 46-year-old male lost his arm from the elbow down in the machine. The statement did not specify which arm the man had lost in the 11:40 a.m. accident.

A.L. Bazzini Co. moved its manufacturing operations to 1035 Mill Road in Upper Macungie Township last April and is the main peanut supplier for Yankee Stadium. The company was founded more than 100 years ago and produces nuts, fruits and dried confections.
