Man Admits Assaulting Two Township Officers, Gets Six Months' Probation

Thomas Patton pleads guilty to resisting arrest in Natalie Drive incident in January.

An Upper Macungie man has admitted assaulting two township police officers earlier this year and has been sentenced to six months' probation.

Thomas Patton, now 22, pleaded guilty in Lehigh County Court Tuesday to a charge of resisting arrest before Judge William Ford. Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and other counts were withdrawn, online court records say.

Previous Patch stories say Patton assaulted two officers when they responded to 393 Natalie Drive in the Westbury subdivision at 2:14pm Jan. 23.

Patton was taken into custody with the aid of other officers and transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment, the stories say.
