Lehigh Student Robbed on Boyer Street

The following information was contained in a Lehigh University safety bulletin.

A 22-year-old Lehigh University student was robbed by two men at Boyer Street and Summit streets in Bethlehem early Sunday, according to Bethlehem police and a university safety bulletin.

The student was not harmed in the robbery, which occurred at 12:20 a.m.

Bethlehem police said two black men wearing dark hoodies and bandanas covering their face had implied that they had a weapon and took the student's bookbag, cell phone, iPod, and cash. They fled north on Boyer Street.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7187 or the Lehigh University Police Department at 610-758-4200.

The safety bulletin reminds students and others to be vigilant and to take basic precautions, such as walking in well-lit areas and not walking alone at night.
