Sex Assault at Amazon Warehouse, Police Report

A man accused of a sexual assault at the Amazon.com warehouse in Upper Macungie Township is now also accused of trying to intimidate his alleged victim in the parking lot outside of the workplace, according to court papers.

Emmanuel Giron, 28, of Reading, approached his alleged victim at about 5 p.m. Friday as she sat outside of 705 Boulder Drive in her car preparing to leave work, according to an arrest affidavit.

Initially, Giron apologized for the prior incident and asked his alleged victim to drop the charges because he did not want to go to jail, the affidavit says.

But when the alleged victim said that she has nothing to do with the charges, Giron told her that if she does not attempt to get the charges dropped “he will come after her and make her life miserable” when he gets out of jail, the affidavit says.

The alleged victim made the report of the threat to Upper Macungie Township police on Saturday afternoon.

According to court records, Giron was arrested and charged in the sexual assault on Jan. 26. The charges were indecent assault/forcible compulsion, indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct/obscene language or gestures and harassment.

A preliminary hearing on those charges is scheduled before District Judge Michael Faulkner on March 11. Giron was free on $25,000 bail when he allegedly made the threat on Friday.

Giron was arrested again on Saturday and charged with intimidation of witnesses or victims, a felony, and terroristic threats. He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Wayne Maura of Bethlehem and committed to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
