Slick Roads Lead to Two Crashes, Police Say

Two people from Breinigsville escape injury following one-vehicle accident.

Upper Macungie police say slippery roadways were responsible for two recent crashes in the township.

According to police, the first accident happened Monday when Nedzat Halim, 36, of Breinigsville, was headed north on Route 222 near the Hamilton Boulevard overpass when he lost control of his SUV and hit the guardrail.

Police said Halim and passenger Mahmer Sabri, 41, were both unhurt, but the SUV needed to be towed from the scene by Getz Towing.

The second accident happened Wednesday at 8:42 a.m. on the 5400 block of Willow Lane and involved Ronit Berson, 23, of Breinigsville.

Police said Berson's vehicle slid off the road and crashed into a nearby parked car. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles needed to be towed by Getz.
