Green Acres Could be a Target for Burglaries

The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police are investigating two possible attempted burglaries in the Green Acres Mobile Home Park.

A resident in the 8800 block of Breinig Run Circle on May 16 reported seeing "a Hispanic or Indian male" attempting to kick in the front door of a neighbor's residence, according to police. The man was described as having dreadlocks and wearing a red hoodie in his late 40's, appx. 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 200 lbs.

The resident scared off the suspect, who ran from the scene.

On May 23, a resident in the 9000 block of Primrose Circle reported that a screen to the rear of her home had been cut. It appears that someone tried to entry through the window, but were not able to because the window was locked.

Evidence was collected at one of the crime scenes and will be sent to the lab for analysis, police said in a press release. In the meantime, residents are requested to keep windows and doors locked at all times and report all suspicious activity to police.
