Fire Damages Trexlertown Home

Blaze started in back of parked car in driveway before spreading to structure.

A fire that started in the back of an automobile severely damaged a home at 7528 Trexler Circle in Trexlertown this afternoon.

Upper Macungie Station 56 Fire Marshal Sam Ashmar said the fire, which broke out at approximately 1:45 p.m. at the home of Gary Lakatosh, began in the back of a 2002 Volkswagen and spread to the structure.

"At this point, that's all we know and the cause of the fire is still under investigation," Ashmar said.

No one was injured in the blaze, although people were home when the fire broke out.
