Ex-Parkland Athlete Austin Scott Accused of Selling Marijuana

Police say former Penn State football star sold drugs to undercover cops.

Former Parkland High School and Penn State football player turned semipro Austin Scott is facing felony drug charges, according to published reports.

Scott, 28, of Allentown allegedly sold marijuana to undercover officers four times between July and and Wednesday, the Morning Call reported.

Court records show that Scott is charged with nine felony counts of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, as well as criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned before District Judge Patricia E. Warmkessel and released after posting $10,000 bail.

During his time with the Nittany Lions, Scott was accused of rape, but the charges were ultimately dropped due to lack of evidence. He unsuccessfully sued his accuser, the university, its police force and Centre County.

In 2011, he signed with the Northeast Pennsylvania Miners semipro team.
