Driver Left Scene of Grim Road Crash, Police Say

Police are looking for information on two-vehicle crash on Grim Road.

Upper Macungie police are looking for a driver who left the scene of a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Grim Road.

According to police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. near Route 222. Police say Phillip Lawson Jr., 19, of Whitehall, was headed south on Grim Road in the left-turn lane. 

Lawson failed to stop in time and struck the driver in front of him. That driver, a Hispanic male in his early 20s, left the scene before officers arrived, police said. Lawson was unhurt, but his vehicle was towed.
