Driver Hurt When Tire Blows Out, Police Say
Allentown man hospitalized after car flips over on Grim Road.
Upper Macungie police say an Allentown man was hospitalized Tuesday after his car flipped over in a one-vehicle crash on Grim Road.
According to police, Jose Tavarez, 57, was headed south on the road near Industrial Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. when one of his tires blew out.
His car veered off the road, police say, hitting a curb and a tree, then traveling over an embankment and flipping onto its roof.
Tavarez was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by Cetronia Ambulance. The extent of his injuries was unclear.
