Coroner: Man Killed in Route 100 Crash
Upper Macungie Police said a three vehicle accident occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. Friday at Route 100 and Industrial Blvd.
The Lehigh County Coroner's office confirmed that one person was killed in a Friday morning accident on Route 100 at Industrial Blvd. in Upper Macungie.
Deputy Coroner Scott Minnich told Patch that the victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar-Crest, following the three vehicle accident at approximately 10:45 a.m. Minnich said the dead person's identification will not be released until next of kin is notified.
However, a report on WFMZ.com, said the victim is a 23-year-old man from Macungie.
A report provided by Upper Macungie Police said the 23-year-old's vehicle was traveling south on Route 100, struck and crossed over the raised cement divider and hit two other vehicles.
The other vehicles were driven by a 70-year-old man from Coopersburg and a 60-year-old man from Rome, N.Y., police said.
