Child Hit by Vehicle in Upper Macungie

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police are investigating an accident Friday evening on Schantz Road, according to published reports.

 

A child who was possibly trick-or-treating was hit by a vehicle Friday evening on Schantz and Balsam roads in Upper Macungie, according to published reports.

WFMZ-TV and The Morning Call reported that the child was taken to a hospital.

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police, who are investigating, could not be immediately reached.

Upper Macungie had moved Trick or Treat night to Oct. 31 then moved it back to Oct. 26 following parents' complaints. Children were trick or treating from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

The accident happened about 8:15 p.m. or 8:20 p.m., according to the reports.
