Cat Deaths Investigated by Humane Society

Lehigh County Humane Society officials think death of two cats found recently in a cornfield is suspicious.

The Lehigh County Humane Society is investigating deaths of two cats, one found Oct. 2 and the other 2 days later in North Whitehall.

According to a statement from Humane Officer Christine Wiggins:

"Two cats were found dead off of Levans Road in a North Whitehall corn field this past month. The first cat was found Oct. 2 and the second cat was found Oct. 4. Both cats were indoor/outdoor cats that would always return home.

The first cat was found in the corn field with a severe wound to the back of the neck. The other cat was found in the same exact spot with no visible wounds though.

The death of both cats are suspected of foul play and if anyone has any information involving these cats please call the Lehigh County Humane Society at 610-797-1205 ext 2.
