Brawl Knocks Hops Fogelsville Employee Unconsicous, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police said a 27-year-old Breinigsville man who works at Hops Fogelsville Hotel was injured Sunday morning trying to break up a fight.

A Hops Fogelsville Hotel employee was beaten and knocked unconscious while trying to break up an early Sunday morning fight at the establishment, according to Upper Macungie Police.

Police say they responded to a call of a large fight in progress at the bar and restaurant at 7921 Main St. in Fogelsville, at approximately 1:48 a.m.

Upon arrival, police said, they were made aware that a fight had broken out between two large groups of customers.

Police said a 27-year-old man, a Hops Fogelsville Hotel employee from Breinigsville, was beaten and knocked unconscious trying to break up the fight.

Police said the man was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar-Crest. Police did not give an update on his condition.

Upper Macungie Police said state police and the Alburtis Police Department also responded to the call. 

Police did not give any information concerning arrests. Police said they are still investigating the fight and ask anyone who witnessed it to contact them at 484-661-5911.
