Robber Threatened Bank of America Teller, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police investigating robbery at Route 100 Bank of America.

Upper Macungie police are looking for a man who threatened a teller while robbing the Bank of America in Fogelsville Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the man entered in the bank at 7720 Main St. around 1:15 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

"He did not display a weapon, but threatened to use one if the teller did not give him the cash," Det. Darren Simmers said in a news release.

The man then put the money in a satchel and left the bank. He was seen getting into a silver or white pickup and driving off, although police could not say what in what direction he traveled.

The man is white, between 30 and 40 years old, and wore an green (or dark colored) field jacket over a bright blue shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap with “Polo Sport Athletics” written on the front.
