Allentown Man Assaulted Girlfriend, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say Joshua Carrasco of Allentown is in Lehigh County Prison on several charges after allegedly assaulting his 21-year-old girlfriend earlier this week.

An Allentown man is in Lehigh County Prison on charges he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and sent threatening text messages to her brother, according to Upper Macungie Police.

Police said 19-year-old Joshua Carrasco was being held on several charges after allegedly assaulting his 21-year-old girlfriend who lives in Upper Macungie on several occasions earlier this week.

Police said Carrasco sent threatening text messages to the girlfriend's brother, also of Upper Macungie.

Police said Carrasco is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and harassment by communication.

Carrasco was arraigned by District Judge Karen Devine and was being held in Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
