Allentown Man Allegedly Assaults Girlfriend

say an Allentown man tried to flee the scene of an alleged assault at the Lehigh Motor Inn July 22 and was tracked down by the police's K-9 unit.

Police said James Slicker, 52, of Allentown allegedly punched his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at the location at approximately 12:25 a.m.

Police said Slicker tried to flee the scene and was found in a ditch some 50 yards away by the department's K-9 team.

Slicker was taken to Lehigh County Central Booking on charges on simple assault and harassment. Police said they had no information on the disposition of the case.

Elsehwere, police said Kathleen Vitolo, 53, of Fogelsville was cited for harassment stemming from a July 19 domestic dispute. Vitolo was cited and will appear before
