Accidents Reported as Snow Turns Roads Slick

Several accidents were reported in the area Saturday night as snow made roads slippery.

 

Several accidents were reported in the area as snow fell on the Lehigh Valley in afternoon and early evening on Saturday.

According to Breaking News Network, accidents were reported:

  • On Interstate 78 in the Breinigsville area, at 3:27 p.m. A person had to be extricated from a vehicle.
  • At Route 100 and Tilghman Street in Upper Macungie, at 4:22 p.m. A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation truck and an SUV reportedly collided.
  • At the Route 78 ramp at Route 100 in the Alllentown area, at 4:47 p.m. A vehicle was reported to be rolled over on its side. Another accident was reported minutes later in the same area, when a car reportedly rear-ended another vehicle into a PennDOT truck.

An inch of snow was expected, according to the National Weather Service.

On Sunday, there is a chance of snow (less than one inch accumulation), with a high temperature of 34, according to the National Weather Service. In the evening, there is a chance of snow showers and flurries.
