$8,400 in Jewelry Reportedly Taken from Lehigh County Home
Earrings and chain are stolen in six-week period in Lower Macungie, police say.
A homeowner is sure that $8,400 in jewelry was taken from her Lower Macungie Township home, but she can't be certain when it was removed, according to police.
Joan Titorenko Reyes, 53, of 5489 Princeton Road reported that two 1 1/2-karat diamond stud earrings were stolen from her home between Aut. 1 and Sept. 16, according to state police at Fogelsville. A 30-inch, 24-karat gold chain also was taken, with the combined estimated value of $8,400.
The report did not explain whether Reyes simply did not notice the jewelry missing over that span or whether she was away for the period and that the theft could have occurred at any time within that range.
