$54K Payroll Fraud Reported by Trucking Company

Upper Macungie police are investigating a possible payroll deduction fraud at Billig Trucking.

A township trucking company reported fraudulent payroll deductions of about $54,000 on Friday, Upper Macungie police said.

Billig Trucking Inc., of 5316 Oakview Drive, reported that the names of three people not associated with the company were found on the payroll, police said.

Police did not disclose the names.

The deductions were made through a payroll company used by the trucking firm.

The case is under investigation.
