2 Hurt When Car Slams Into Tree

Upper Macungie Police said 30-year-old Christian Castro and an 11-year-old were injured when Castro's car veered off Cetronia Road and hit a tree.

A 30-year-old Allentown man and his 11-year-old passenger from New York were injured when their car swerved off Cetronia Road and struck a tree, according to Upper Macungie Police.

Police said 30-year-old Christian Castro told them he lost control of the car he was driving in 5800 block of Cetronia Road at approximately 2 p.m. Monday.

Castro's car slid off the wet roadway and hit a tree, police said.

Both Castro and his passenger were taken to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
