Parkland Defeats Rival Emmaus, will play Stroudsburg Friday Night
The Parkland Trojans (9-1) defeated the Emmaus Hornets (6-4) by a score of 37-30 last Friday night at Orefield Middle School. Unlike Parkland's last few victories, this one was a close one until the end of the game.
Frank Lane, the offensive coordinator of the Trojans, stated that beating Emmaus, a rival, is a great feeling. He is also happy for the players, as he stated "It's also special to see our kids so excited to beat our rivals."
When discussing the team's accomplishments this season, Lane said that the Trojans have achieved one of their goals, but a few still remain. "We are satisfied with accomplishing our first of many goals." Lane says "That goal was the LVC Championship, so we are excited that we accomplished that."
Parkland has already come far, but challenges remain for this year's Trojan team. They will play Stroudsburg (8-2) at Orefield Middle School Friday night. Parkland has yet to lose a game at their home field.
