Gerald 'Chet' Dreisbach: Heating Serviceman, Accordion Player

Gerald "Chet" W. Dreisbach Sr., 90 of Upper Macungie Township, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Cedarbrook. He was the husband of the late Agnes (Groller) Dreisbach. She passed away August of 2010.

Born in West Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Edwin H. and Laura E. (Snyder) Dreisbach. He was a member of Zion Lehigh Evangelical Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood Texas in the Tank Destroyer Unit during World War II. He was employed as a heating and air-conditioning serviceman for W.S. Reichenbach and Sons and later at Agway Petroleum Corp. He enjoyed playing the accordion and harmonica, and listening to polka music.

Survivors: son Gerald W. Dreisbach Jr. and wife Peggy of Coplay, daughter, Ilene G. wife of Kenneth Guldin of Macungie, sister, Lorraine Wagner of Northampton, grandchildren, Chance Dreisbach, Karin Drennan, and Heather Yeakel, great-grandchildren Deven, Justin, Morgan, and Madalyn.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday November 9, 2013 at the Trexler Funeral Home 1625 highland St. Allentown Pa 18102. Calling 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Allentown.
