Where Was the Powerball Winning Ticket Sold?

Reports say the two winning tickets for the half-billion-dollar jackpot were sold in Missouri and Arizona, and that details may be announced today.

And did you play the numbers 5, 23, 16, 22 and 29 with the Powerball of 6? Then we're looking for you. One of those tickets was sold in Missouri, somewhere, and you're taking a share of that giant jackpot home with you, along with someone who bought a winning ticket in Arizona.

That's the news this morning after tickets sold at a rate of 130,000 tickets per minute around the country, according to an Associated Press report published on STLtoday.com.

A report by ABC News on its website said Missouri Lottery official Susan Goedde confirmed that lottery officials would not announce where in Missouri the ticket was sold until later Thursday morning.

The two winners each get about $293.75 million. Nearly 9 million players also won smaller prizes.An additional 8,924,123 players won smaller prizes, according to Powerball's website.

According to ABC news, this is the 27th Powerball win for Missouri, second in the country. Indiana is first with 38 wins. Arizona has had 10 Powerball jackpot wins in its history.
