3 Vying For District 2 County Commissioner Seat
Fourteen candidates are running for Lehigh County commissioner seats in the May 21 primary, according to an unofficial voter registration list.
Incumbent Percy Dougherty and challenger Scott Aquila, both of Lower Macungie, will square off in a Republican primary race for a District 2 Lehigh County Commissioner seat on May 21, according to an unofficial voter registration list.
Susan Ellis Wild is the lone Democrat in the District 2 field, and if unchallenged by write-in candidates, would face the winner of the Repubican primary.
District 2 covers Upper Macungie, Lower Macungie, South Whitehall and Alburtis.

The most competitive field is District 5, which has four Republicans running for one seat in the primary and two Democrats running for one seat in its party's primary.
