PennDOT Work Will Slow Route 22 This Week

Agency cites roadway reflector installation.

Motorists traveling Route 22 between the Lehigh County line and the New Jersey state line will encounter some delays from Monday through Thursday, PennDOT sais in a release.

A PennDOT contractor will be installing roadway reflectors, which will restrict travel along ramps throughout the state route from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

In addition, PennDOT road crews will be at work on Interstate 78 eastbound in Upper Macungie Township Monday through Wednesday with lane restrictions in place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for pothole patching.

Pothole patching by PennDOT maintenance forces will take place from exit 45 (Route 863) and exit 51 (Route 22.)

PennDOT noted in the release for motorists to watch for stopped vehicles and use caution when traveling through work area.
